I manage websites with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and audience needs. Whether I’m creating a city department info hub or helping a small nonprofit improve their homepage, my goal is to make information easy findable and actionable.
As the lead content manager for the my city’s official website, I ensure that pages stay current, accessible, and citizen-focused. I write, edit, and publish service updates, news items, and departmental info, and I regularly audit for broken links, technical issues, and high-bounce pages. I regularly interface with our content management contractor to repair and restructure pages to serve our growing audience of over 20k unique visitors monthly. Platform: CivicPlus, Drupal.
This riverway initiative is a one-of-a-kind rec program operated through my city’s parks department. I created an easy-to-update microsite, which drastically increased traffic to the point of sale. Platform: Squarespace.
I worked with a local community theater to create and manage their new site in 2024. We upgraded the site to a volunteer-friendly platform for easier updates, streamlined the layout to make seasonal productions and event details easier to find, and integrated an external ticketing system. Platform: Squarespace.
With over a decade as a public information officer, I approach civic engagement with a user-focused mindset—ensuring that citizens receive usable, actionable info on street-level policy.
I designed and led the public communication rollout for my city’s outdoor drinking area, creating an original brand, signage, web content, and media materials. This initiative helped local businesses draw foot traffic and clarified new alcohol policies for visitors. I used this presentation to start a conversation with my city’s diversity board about improving resident communications. Tools used: Illustrator, Canva.

At work, as a volunteer , and with freelance clients, I love to collaborate in finding new channels for great outreach. Below are a few pieces I’ve written with other public information folks in mind.
